2008 World Cup Finals at Gryttjom

World Cup in Speed Skydiving 2008
Stockholm Skydive Club invites contestants to its 6th International Speed Skydiving Competition and 5th ISSA World Cup event at Gryttjom DZ, Sweden on September 5-7, 2008.

Setting: Every world cup meet consists of 6 individual runs/jumps where the best 3 runs/jumps are considered for the meet result and the final result is the average of those.

Speed measuring device: Larsen & Brusgaard Pro-Track®

Download software: Larsen & Brusgaard Jump-Track® version 2.00.C, or newer.

Preconditions: Valid license and approved equipment (according to the ISSA regulations).

Aircraft: De Havilland Twin Otter and/or Antonov 28.

NB!! Deadline for registration is August 11.

Qualification: Contestants who have not competed in a Speed Skydiving Competition in 2007 or 2008 will have to qualify on Friday, September 5. (Male: 300 km/h. Female: 250 km/h (average over 1 km between 2700 and 1700 m).

Check-in: Friday, September 5 from 09.00 am to 09.00 pm.

Fees: Registration: SEK 400,- per participant (about 42 Euros). Jump fee: SEK 160,- (about 17 Euros). DZ fee: SEK 40,-/day (about 4.2 Euros, see Food & Lodging below below).
Registration fees, jump fees and DZ fee must be paid at check-in. Any surplus money on your account will be repaid when you check out.
We accept credit cards (VISA, Mastercard), but not American Express.

Briefing: Saturday, September 6 at 08.45 am.

Competition start: Saturday, September 6 at 10.00 am.

Food & Lodging: There are approximately 100 beds available in bunkhouses, in 4-bedded rooms. Be aware that during summertime there is a lot of skydivers at the DZ so please, send an email to ann@skydive.se if you are planning to attend the Speed Skydiving meet, and want us to reserve a bed for you during your stay. The fee for staying at the DZ is 40 SEK/day and covers all usage of the DZ bunkhouses, kitchen, showers, sauna, etc. The DZ restaurant can offer a breakfast, lunch and dinner deal for SEK 155 (approx. 16 Euro). There is also space available for tent and mobile homes/caravans.
If you prefer to stay in a B&B place there are a some good ones within a few kilometres from the DZ (but you need a car to go between the B&B and the DZ), examples are:

Travel to Sweden: Several low fare airlines fly into Sweden and the Stockholm area. Examples are Ryanair (flights from many destinations to Stockholm Skavsta and from Stansted to Stockholm Västerås ), Sterling (flights from many European cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Salzburg, Edinburgh, Milan...) and Norwegian (flights from Paris, Düsseldorf among others). In addition, many major airlines have low air fares that will take you to Stockholm and back at a cost below 200 Euros.
